Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a gentle, holistic therapy that has been practiced for thousands of years to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to restore balance, relieve pain, and encourage natural healing processes.

Acupuncture is based on the concept of Qi (pronounced "chee")—a vital energy flowing through pathways in the body known as meridians. When this energy becomes blocked or unbalanced, discomfort or illness can follow. By carefully placing ultra-fine needles at key points along the meridians, Acupuncture helps to release blockages, improve circulation, and restore harmony.
Modern research supports Acupuncture’s effectiveness for a range of concerns, including: chronic pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, and more. Many people also turn to Acupuncture for preventative care or as a way to unwind and reset in a calming, supportive environment.

1

Your Initial Consultation

Your treatment begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your health history, current symptoms, and overall wellbeing, which may include questions about your sleep, stress, and digestion.

This initial discussion, along with a gentle check of your pulse and tongue, helps us identify how energy (Qi) is flowing in your body and allows us to create a treatment plan specifically for you.

2

The Acupuncture Experience

Once your treatment plan is ready, your session will begin. Using sterile, ultra-fine, single-use needles, we gently stimulate specific acupuncture points on your body.

Most people find this surprisingly comfortable, feeling only a light pinch or a mild tingling sensation, followed by a sense of warmth or gentle pressure.

After the needles are placed, you’ll rest for 15 to 30 minutes in our quiet, warm, and soothing clinic, allowing you to fully relax as the treatment takes effect.

3

After Your Session

Once your rest is complete, the needles are gently removed with minimal to no discomfort.

We will then wrap up the session, and based on your needs, I may share some insights from the treatment, offer simple lifestyle or dietary suggestions, or recommend a follow-up plan to support your continued journey toward health and balance.
