CUPPING THERAPY: RELIEVE TENSION, RESTORE FLOW
Cupping is a traditional healing technique that works by creating gentle suction on the skin to promote circulation, release tension, and encourage the body’s natural detoxification process. At our clinic, cupping is often used alongside Acupuncture to support deeper healing and long-lasting relief.
HOW CUPPING WORKS
Special cups—typically made of glass, silicone, or bamboo—are placed on specific areas of the body. A mild vacuum is created inside the cup, drawing the skin and underlying tissue upward. This gentle lift increases blood flow, clears stagnation, and helps loosen tight muscles.
WHY USE CUPPING
Cupping is a powerful, non-invasive way to address a variety of conditions, including:
•Muscle tension and tightness
•Chronic pain (especially in the back, shoulders, and neck)
•Headaches and migraines
•Sports injuries
•Respiratory issues such as cough or congestion
•Stress and fatigue
WHAT TO EXPECT
Cupping is painless and deeply relaxing. Most people describe it as a gentle pulling sensation followed by a feeling of release. After treatment, circular marks may appear on the skin—these are not bruises, but signs of stagnation being drawn to the surface. They typically fade within a few days.
A NATURAL ADDITION TO YOUR HEALING JOURNEY
Whether used on its own or as part of your personalized acupuncture treatment, cupping helps restore the natural flow of Qi and blood, allowing the body to relax, repair, and return to balance.
